Bidford in 1843

Bidford is in the Stratford division of Barlichway hundred, on the northern bank of the Avon, over which there is a bridge 6 miles lower down than Stratford, on the line of the Icknield Way. The parish has an area of 3,240 acres, with a population, in 1831, of 1,268 ; above half agricultural.
